🔍 About the Competition
The National Technology Competition (NTC) is an annual national platform that celebrates innovation and promotes technology-driven solutions to Nigeria’s critical challenges. NTC 2026 is open to students and professionals who are ready to contribute fresh, impactful ideas using science, technology, and innovation.
👥 Who Can Participate?
NTC 2026 features three categories:
- Junior Category
Secondary School Students (ages 13–18) - Senior Category
Undergraduate/University Students (ages 18–25) - Professional Category
Corporate Professionals, Entrepreneurs, and Innovators (ages 25–45)
Entries can be submitted individually or by teams (up to 3 members for Junior/Senior categories and up to 5 for Professionals). All projects must be original and technology-based.

Innovations must address one or more of these priority sectors:

- Agriculture
- Climate & Environment
- Financial Inclusion
- Civic Engagement
- Smart Cities & Infrastructure
📤 Submission & Selection Process
Step 1: Online Submission
All entries must be submitted online via the official competition portal. Submissions should include:
- Project title and summary
- Description of the problem being solved
- Proposed solution and its tech component
- Optional: supporting media (videos, graphics, slides)
Step 2: Public Online Voting
Once verified, all entries will be published online for public voting.
Step 3: Shortlisting the Top 6
The Top 6 entries in each category will be selected based on a combination of public votes and internal review. These finalists will move forward to the Grand Finale.
🎤 Grand Finale – Live Display & Judging
Finalists will be invited to the NTC 2026 Grand Finale, where they will present their innovations live to a panel of judges comprising industry leaders, investors, educators, and technologists.
The panel will evaluate each project based on:
- Innovation and originality
- Relevance and real-world impact
- Feasibility and sustainability
- Presentation and clarity
🏅 Judges will select the final Top 3 winners in each category.
